The School is involved in a school texting service, to improve communications between school and home. 

We will send texts to your mobile with useful reminders of early school closures, Parent Teacher meetings etc.

The service has proven to be very useful, but it does require you to join the group (i.e New Junior Infants or if you did not join last year) in order to be included in these text communications. When we send a message you will pay 20c to receive it.

All you have to do to activate the service is simply send the following four word text message to our special short phone number, 53215 , from your mobile.

e.g(if your child’s name is john Murphy) TEXT:
join svpinf 0868888086 john Murphy (to 53215)

Notes:
“svpinf” is the name we have chosen for the School group.
“0868888086” is the school mobile phone number (No need to include your own mobile number since it is included automatically with the text.)

We expect to send no more than an average of one message per month during the school year.

Messages sent using this service will cost just 20c each to receive and you can opt out of receiving messages at any time by sending the following text to 53215
