Dr Jennifer's Visit to Room 14
We had a very interesting morning in room 14 this Friday. Before midterm break we were learning all about skeletons, bones and what happens to broken bones.
This morning, Dr Jennifer came in to speak to us. She is Emily's mam. Her job is to look at x-rays and fix broken bones. Emily's mam showed us lots of x-rays of broken bones and we got to see all of the different bones in our body. We got to see x-rays of arms, knees, elbows, hips and we even got to see how our ribcage protects our lungs and heart.
Emily's mam also showed us different images of the inside of our bodies. We got to see images of our brain, stomachs and lungs.
Before she left, Emily's mam reminded us how important calcium is for our growing bones and gave each of us a Babybell for our snack.
Thanks again to Dr Jennifer for coming into our class.
