News from Room 13

We have settled back into school life well and had a great two weeks in Room 13 since the holidays!

We have been busy learning basketball skills in PE, caitheamh aimsire as Gaeilge, we focused on verbs in present and past tense in English. We also learned about tens and units and began fractions in maths by exploring halves.

We are learning all about the Arctic and wrote fact files about Arctic animals we liked, drew Polar bears and even got into animal characters by pretending to be Arctic animals while responding to winter themed orchestral music!

We also listened and responded to the music by playing various rhythms that we could hear, on percussion instruments, listening closely to crescendos and diminuendos(getting louder and softer) in the music!
