Rm2 - Aistear - The Farm 🚜🐮🐷

For the last two weeks, the boys and girls in Room 2 have been very busy learning all about life on the farm.
We learned about the role of the farmer, watched videos of cows being milked and learned about all the different animals that may live on the farm. In aistear we had many different stations which the boys and girls really enjoyed!

- Roleplay - In the role play area, we acted out the scene of a busy day on the farm. Activities included milking the cow, feeding the animals, washing the animals and collecting the eggs from the henhouse.
- Playdough – the children created and moulded different farm-related shapes based on the farm-themed playdough mats.
- Small World - the children were given the opportunity to play with farm toys such as a toy field, combine harvester, cows, sheep, pigs, horses, bales, fences, chickens, tractors, trailers etc.
- Construction - At the construction station we constructed different areas of the farm using wooden blocks. Areas included the barn, the henhouse, the pigsty and the cow shed.
- Arts and Crafts - The boys and girls used paper plates and other materials to create differen farm animal faces.
