Rm2 - Candling the eggs🥚🔦
On day 10 and day 14 we candled the eggs. To do this we made the room as dark as we could and shone a bright light under the eggs. By doing this we were able to see if there was a baby chick growing inside each egg. We knew that if we saw an air socket and some red lines (blood vessels) it was a good sign there was a chick growing inside the egg. On some eggs we could even see the tiny growing chick moving inside!!!
After candling the eggs, we decided that three eggs definitely didn’t have a chick growing inside. So we removed these eggs from the incubator to keep the other eggs safe and healthy.
We now have 8 eggs left in our incubator! 🪺
We are hoping we will have some baby chickens hatching next Monday/Tuesdat🤞🐣
