Room 1 Aistear 'Home' theme 🏠

Here in Room 1 we have been learning all about the house and home through Aistear play. 🏠 We played at five different stations, moving around each day and changing activity. At the Small World station, we played with the house, furnishing all the rooms and playing with different characters. We practised our fine motor skills with play dough, making beds for the bedroom, cushions for the sofa, and flowers for the garden. In the Role-Play area we dressed up in high-heels, dresses, shirts and aprons, pretending to be different members of the family. 👔👗 At the Art table, we created our own houses while practising our cutting and sticking skills. ✂️ At the construction area, we donned our high-vis jackets and used the Jaggo blocks to build giant houses, gardens, and even railway tracks. 🛤 We had so much fun learning all about the home. 😊
