Room 1: Engineers Week
Last week was Engineers Week. At the beginning of the week we went to a Bricks 4 Kidz workshop.
We then learned about the different types of Engineers and what they do.
Later on in the week, we focused on bridges by looking at the different types of bridges, famous bridges in the world and how they are built. Each group were given a task of making a bridge with two maths books and one piece of paper. The bridge had to hold a weight (one cube). The second task the groups were given was to construct their own bridges using a range of materials. Like Engineers, they planned how they were going to build their bridges and then put their ideas into action.
