Science Week Room 5

We had lots of fun in Room 5 for Science Week! 🧪 🔬 Here are the experiments we did! 

Dancing Raisins- We showed how an objects density can change 

Rainbow Skittles- We showed that warm water dissolved the sugar and food colouring from the sweets 

Sinking and Floating Orange- We made predictions on whether an orange with and without skin would float or sink and we tried it out 

We made a Lava Lamp!- We discovered that water is more dense than oil so they do not mix together. The gas from the fizzing tablet is lighter than water and so floats to the top, creating our lava lamp!
