The Thrass Phoneme Machine is free reading software that was developed in 2009. It comprises of an interactive Calendar page and a word bank of 500 high-frequency words that are spoken by human lips hen clicked. It's a great reading tool. The company who developed it gave us permission to offer it to you for direct download. Watch the video below to get an idea what it's about and download it if you wish. The serial number required is also on the letter below. Below the video is a downloadable PowerPoint of instructions. The document also contains a download for Macs but we have found that it doesn't work properly. It does not operate on ipads or phones either. T-62: PHONEME MACHINE SOFTWARE for SINGLE PC+

Download the 49MB installer from www.thrass.co.uk/d/CASE_6_1.exe

In the case file is the TPM_6_1.exe file (the actual THRASS Phoneme Machine programme), a ‘words’ folder and the ‘uninst.exe’ file (the uninstall programme). Double-click the CASE_6_1.exe file to: install the Phoneme Machine in your C drive (in Program Files); create a desktop short cut; add a link in the Programs Menu and then launch the programme. There are a large number of audio and video files in the programme. It usually takes about 30 seconds to load. Please take account of this loading time every time you launch the Phoneme Machine software.

Click the box that says ‘Enter Serial Number’ and then copy & paste your unique PC Serial Number:

If your serial number is validated, the software will be activated and you will be taken to the screen that has the ‘Continue’ button. Press ‘Continue’. The Serial Number can be used to activate the Phoneme Machine software on ANY NUMBER of computers at the SAME ADDRESS.

Unzip the file and it will create a folder called PM_6_MAC which will contain two files, an executable file called PM_6 and a ‘words’ folder. Drag this folder PM_6_MAC to your Applications Folder. Click to open PM_6_MAC and then click on the PM_6 executable file.

Copy & paste your unique MAC Serial Number:

Enter your Serial Number in the space provided and click on the grey button ‘Click to Enter Serial Number’. The Serial Number can be used to activate the Phoneme Machine software on ANY NUMBER of computers at the SAME ADDRESS.
